Last week, CEC 20 hosted a highly informative and engaging town hall event with Chancellor David C. Banks at P.S. 69 Vincent D. Grippo School. We want to express our sincere gratitude to Principal Capetanakis and the entire P.S. 69 staff for graciously welcoming us and making this event possible. Their dedication to providing a positive and stimulating learning environment for our children was evident in every aspect of the evening.
The town hall provided a valuable opportunity for Chancellor Banks to directly address questions and concerns from CEC 20 and the community regarding education in our district. Topics discussed ranged from addressing the NYC Reads literacy initiative, student safety and budget use. The Chancellor and his staff engaged in open and honest dialogue, demonstrating their commitment to working collaboratively with parents, educators, and community members to elevate the education system for every child.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Chancellor Banks and his staff for taking the time to listen to our concerns and share their vision for the future of education in New York City. We are grateful for their commitment to collaboration and partnership. We also want to express our deepest appreciation to the parents, educators, and community members who attended the town hall and actively participated in the discussion. Your voices matter, and your engagement is essential in shaping the future education for our children.
We look forward to continuing this dialogue and working together to build a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
If you were unable to attend the town hall or would like to revisit the conversation, a recording of the event is now available here. We encourage you to watch it and share your thoughts with us.
